My sermon from Sunday on the power of hope to overcome anxiety and fear
Death will not contain Jesus; he will be raised.
It is this that makes all the difference for us. Jesus death shatters the Evil that had held us in its grasp. In the wake of the resurrection, Evil has no power over us except the power we are willing to give it.
We aren’t created to be followers of Jesus all by ourselves
My reflection for June 28th
A reflection on Jesus’ words from John’s gospel ”If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
My reflection from April 19
What is Jesus talking about when he says that to see the kingdom of God we must be born from above?
Jesus’ temptations show us the importance of paying attention to the ways we reach for the good goals in our lives.
Do we only find Jesus on the mountaintop in glory, or is he also in the mundane and ordinary experiences of life?
God invites us to live as we were created and thrive or follow our own path and wither.
